
The mastering module takes our students further down the road towards the final step in the creative process of audio recording. This course contains classes regarding the finer points of digital audio as well as classes dealing with the art of mastering all help to further prepare our students for the computer age of digital audio.

In this module you will learn what is involves the preparation and transfer of the recorded audio onto the medium used for replication, but you will not be limited to learn only about physical media, you will also learn how to master your tracks to be ready for online streaming and the most common digital media formats. The main topics include: mastering setups, monitoring, sound properties, acoustics, your audience, levels and decibels, the human ear and limitations, music styles and mastering, formats, noise, digital and analog, remastering, editing, maximizing and compression

Mastering is both a technical process and one where you really need to listen and know what you are doing. In this course we have combined both the technical knowledge and experience and knowledge of mastering engineers. No matter if you are trying to master a demo, first CD or already are an experienced mastering engineer you will find everything you need about mastering in this course.
