Our teaching methods
What makes us different from others is, that from day one you will hand on a real "analog-digital" hybrid and all your lessons are one-on-one and on your time, you will not need to stop your life to learn how to record. You will be applying the concepts you learn right away on the spot, there is no better way to learn how to produce music than doing it, you will not waste time in a classroom listening to theory and methods that are completely outdated. We know you know that there are many different digital audio recording and processing programs running under several computer operating systems, we will not waste time trying to convince you to use the one we like, you will be using the one you know, and if you don't know any we can help you to choose one that will give you the best experience.
During this course, students learn the basics of recording and engineering in a digital multi-track studio with industry standard recording equipment and techniques that include: relevant stereo microphone placement for drums, bass guitar, electric and acoustic guitar, piano, synth, vocals; as well as signal routing and operation of analog and digital consoles, hardware processors and software plug-ins. Professional gear by Roland, Yamaha, Focus-rite, Avalon, DBX, Line 6, Lexicon, Tascam, AKG, Shure, Audio Technica, Alesis, TC Electronics and many other manufacturers. Practical recording exercises with important instruments including drums, bass, guitars, keys, pianos and vocals, occur throughout the class and culminate in recording sessions with musicians/bands.
