Ruptured Surround Sound (AKA Rukus)

I broadened my horizons in music from years of study, performing recitals and writing songs for the industry and professionals. I started playing piano at the age of five for The Royal Conservatory of Music and drums at the age of eight which eventually awarded me a position at an arts academy (CCAA) to learn Orchestral Percussion.

During my time at CCAA I was heavily involved in midi lab classes with a MAC Digital Audio Work Station but I can't recall its name for the life of me. What I do remember is playing drums for theatrical plays held by the school for the public and other schools.

I attended Harris Institute for the Arts which taught me the basics for Producing / Engineering. My next step was to sell my beautiful Black Pearl Export 5 piece drum set to get my first Synthesizer, a Roland XP-30 along with a MOTU 828mk2 sound card and a MAC G4 which I eventually sold to switch over to Cubase on a PC!!! Upon completion of Harris, I was awarded a scholarship to The University of the West of Scotland which was located in Scotland, Paisley (the ghetto). Eventually, I finished my Music Technology degree and found my self back in Toronto working at Bunker 8.

I have produced and collaborated with another producer AYZE Productions for independent films that have gone to the Toronto Film Festival and also an artist that has a distribution license with Universal Records.

I have to say that Sigmund at Bunker 8, opened my eyes to various genres of music and guided me to new experiences. So be adventurous and try something different with your music. Do what your feeling, it seems to work the best for me.
